One Tree Hill is an American teen drama, created by Mark Schwahn that premiered on September 23, 2003, on the WB Television Network. After its third season, The WB merged with UPN form The CW Television Network, and since September 27, 2006 the network is the official broadcaster of the series in the U.S.. The show is set in the fictional town Tree Hill, North Carolina and originally follows the lives of two half-brothers, Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty). Their relationship evolves from ruthless enemies, caring for siblings, and the basketball drama and novels of the brothers full of ups and downs, with female characters, are important elements in enabling real time filming of the first four seasons of the year focus on show the secondary characters. With the start of the fifth season, Schwahn decided to skip the timeline four years ahead by showing his life after college. In the seventh season, adjusted the timeline a year in the future after the sixth season. The opening credits were originally intertwined with the song "I Do not Want to Be" by Gavin DeGraw playing in the background. The item was withdrawn from the opening of the fifth season, due to production costs and the feeling Schwahn was more representative of the top five lives of adolescents.
